About the Alaska Investor Network

The Alaska Investor Network (AIN) provides an opportunity for angel investors to convene, share deal flow and best practices and gain access to educational programming.  The Alaska Investor Network and its membership were catalysts for the formation of the 49th State Angel Fund – an “evergreen” investment fund administered by the Municipality of Anchorage.

AIN began several years ago as a project of The Entrepreneurs and Mentors Network (TEAM) originally created by local business leader and investor Allan Johnston. The Network was re-branded as the Alaska Investor Network in early 2016.  Currently, there are over 40 accredited private individuals and funds participating in the network with the goal of working to create a robust and diversified economy in Alaska’s future.

Active “Accredited Investors” as defined in the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission are welcome to join The Network on a rolling basis. The small annual fee associated with joining includes access to the Angel Capital Association resources and events, and invitations to Alaska-based social/educational/investment gatherings.  We meet monthly at rotating homes to discuss deal flow, current startups, and the startup ecosystem.
